Starting off the list, Shaky Knees is a rock lover’s paradise! Sixty artists perform on three stages, including Jack White, Queens of the Stone Age, Tenacious D, Cake, Matt & Kim, Franz Ferdinand, and All Time Low. Everyone has access to charging stations, photo booths, and the chance to buy art, but if guests splurge a VIP experience, they get to lounge in an air-conditioned room with a private bar and appetizers.

9. Stagecoach Festival: April 27-29, 2018 – Noon
Next, and sharing the same venue as Coachella (mentioned later), is Stagecoach Festival. Stagecoach has a relaxed atmosphere, a BBQ contest, Clydesdale horses, a record shop, karaoke, and a shuttle to the grocery store to get supplies. This year will have Florida Georgia Line, Keith Urban, and Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood headlining with performances by Jake Owen, Kelsie Ballerini, Tanya Tucker, Dwight Yokam, and Kane Brown, among others.

8. AFROPUNK FEST: August 25-26, 2018
Celebrating the culture of black communities within the punk and alternative scene, AFROPUNK FEST brings together a mix of punk, rap, rock, and metal bands featuring black or mixed-race artists. The 2018 lineup isn’t available yet, but last year’s headliners were Gary Clark JR, Michael Kiwanuka, Soul II Soul, and Kaytranada.

7. Firefly Music Festival: June 14-17, 2018 – Hours TBD
Firefly Music Festival is proving to be the east coast’s biggest open-air festival. This year’s lineup includes Eminem, The Arctic Monkeys, Kendrick Lamar, Lil Wayne, Jimmy Eat World, and The Killers, along with over fifty other musicians. Also, unlike most festivals, Firefly embraces nature and puts attendees in the thick of it with hammocks to relax, acoustic performances out of a tree house, a coffee shop and brewery, a market of handmade items, a dancefloor in a thicket, and gourmet food.

6. Governors Ball: June 1-3, 2018 – 11:45 AM – 11 PM
A contemporary music festival that crosses four genres, Governors Ball boasts artists like Eminem, Jack White, Travis Scott, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, N.E.R.D., and Post Malone. Though the music is the main draw, there are tons of other things to do, like mini golf, silent discos, life-size board games, interactive photo booths, and countless food options.

5. Hangout Fest: May 18-20, 2018 – 11 AM – 11 PM
Hangout Fest is a laid-back affair that takes place on a beach on Alabama’s shore. It has a wildly eclectic roster of artists and bands like The Killers, The Chainsmokers, Kendrick Lamar, Halsey, Manchester Orchestra, Foster the People, and Slightly Stoopid. There’s also a wide range of things to do and see that include beach volleyball, classic arcade games, a kissing booth, puppies, s’more roasting, tug of war, an obstacle course, a wedding chapel, and delicious food.

With a focus on the music, Beale Street serves up a huge variety in Memphis, TN during Memphis in May. Third on the list, Bonnaroo is described by Fuse as “hardcore.” It provides “one of the greatest camping experiences at any festival in the world.” (The amenities include free WiFi, charging stations, showers, lockers, and a general store). 1. Coachella: April 13-15, 2018 and April 20-22, 2018
